17 to 19 April 2024: 12th Annual AmCham MENA Conference – One Region, One Voice – Held in Dubai, UAE, uniting AmCham Member Business Leaders and Experts from Across 11 MENA Region Countries and the United States.

22 April 2024: Roundtable with Regional Senior Commercial Services Officer from U.S. Embassy Abu Dhabi – AmCham members from diverse business sectors came together in a roundtable discussion.

12 May 2024: Reception with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Business Delegation – AmCham members were invited to attend an exclusive evening reception that saw attendance from U.S. Ambassador to Qatar, Qatar Ambassador to U.S., Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Export Administration at the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), representatives of Qatari ministries and U.S. Embassy Doha staff, as well as other prominent private and public sector representatives. 

14 to 16 May 2024: The fourth Qatar Economic Forum powered by Bloomberg explored the issues driving global boardroom conversations and spotlighted the Gulf’s rising prominence. In a region where ambition converges with capital, key states are strategically deploying wealth to enhance their global influence, diversify economies and gain international prominence. The Forum, an exclusive convening of diverse international perspectives, explored the Gulf’s strategic standing as we navigate this year of more than 50 nations bracing for elections.

30 May 2024: Education and Private Sectors Roundtable – AmCham members from educational institutions and private sector came together to discuss offerings and needs as it pertains to internships, work-based learning, mentorships, and ways the private sector can be more involved with entering the classroom to help develop a knowledge and skills-based economy. This meeting also saw attendance from the International Labor Organization (ILO), Jusour, and MCIT’s Studio 5. This initiative will continue to develop under the guidance of the Education and Skills and Development Committee.

3 June 2024: Healthcare and Insurance Roundtable – AmCham members representing insurance, healthcare facilities, and legal firms came together to discuss the challenges and impact of Law No. 22 of 2021, which created Qatar’s Mandatory Health Insurance Scheme, was published in November 2021, and came into partial effect in May 2022. This meeting also saw attendance from Commercial Services, U.S. Embassy Doha. This initiative will continue to develop under the guidance of the Insurance and Healthcare Committee.
